Elite Soccer Training Sydney
The Sydney Premier league will feature a like-for-like competition format, with the exciting addition of promotion and relegation (2 up, 2 down) taking effect in week 5 of the season. Over the 10 weeks, teams will play a total of 20 games, with the initial 10 games setting the stage for the promotion and relegation phase.
The vision for this league is focused on long-term club and academy player development, providing consistently competitive games week after week through balanced matchups. Importantly, this is designed to be a long-standing league, not just a one-off program.
Dates
Saturday 11th October to Saturday 13th December (10 weeks) – U7’s, U8’s, U9’s (7 a side)
Sunday 12th October to Sunday 14th December (10 weeks) – U10’s, U11’s, U12’s (9 a side)
Venues
(U7’s, U8’s, U9’s) Apia Leichhardt FC – Lambert Park
(U10’s, U11’s, U12’s) Blacktown City SC – Blacktown Football Park, Gate B, Eastern Road
Matchday
All teams play 2 games per day (20 games in total). Each game is 2 x 20 minute halves.
League positions will be determined by points, goal difference, goals scored, head-to-head, coin toss.
Knockout games ending in a draw will go straight to penalties. 5 penalties each will be taken followed by sudden death if needed.
Competition formats
Teams will be graded into divisions. After a number of rounds there will be promotion and relegation for divisions to allow teams to be challenged appropriately throughout the competition.
Finals (Rankings) – in most Competitions there will be Finals (or Ranking games).
